What we do with your files

A pile of CSVs tells you nothing. Lined-up flights tell you plenty.

Pulling the card is the easy part. The work is lining up dozens of flights so cruise compares to cruise: trend against your own history, the way oil analysis works, not against a book number.

See the difference

One reading tells you almost nothing. The same reading against dozens of your own flights tells you plenty. Drag the controls; the numbers here are simulated for illustration; the method is the point.

Why a baseline?

One reading. Then your history. Then a better question.

A single reading, say a cruise temperature of 385 °F, tells you almost nothing on its own. It could be normal for one airplane and notable for another. One number, no context.

Add flights and a reference band forms around how this synthetic tail usually runs (its mean ± 2σ). The airplane is now compared with its own recorded history: not a fleet average, not a book number.

Now let the last eight flights creep upward. Without the earlier history, those points look like noise. Against it, the change is plain to see.

The report does not diagnose anything. It shows where recent readings moved beyond the earlier recorded range, so you and your mechanic can decide what, if anything, deserves review.
